Spotlight Reporting Limited was created in 2010 by Chartered Accountant and Business Advisor Richard Francis. Richard and his CA wife Julie have operated a boutique Accounting firm – Francis Consulting - for 10 years. Loving innovative solutions, Richard and Julie signed up as the first independent firm to become a Xero Accounting Partner in 2007.

As a 'virtual CFO', Richard decided to complement the Xero experience by providing Spotlight Reports to clients, which quickly became a key decision-making tool for them, as well as a positive revenue-earner for the practice. In March 2011, with Xero data now available in 'the Cloud', Spotlight Reporting was released as an application for progressive firms and businesses around the world.

In the time since launch, Spotlight Reporting has developed other tools for progressive accountants and book-keepers. These include our Forecasting, Dashboard and (soon-to-be-released) Franchises reporting tool. We're also working closely with Xero on the leading online workpaper solution, Spotlight Workpapers.
